Air Permeability Testing | Air Leakage Test | Air Tightness Testing in New Dwellings | Door Blower Test | Air Pressure Test | Extract Fan Testing
Air-Tightness Testing (also known as Air-Permeability or Air-Leakage testing) is a requirement for Building Regulation Part L1a compliance and we offer the very best price and service to help you achieve compliance.
We are ATTMA (Air Tightness Testing & Measurement Association) qualified to undertake air-leakage testing on new residential dwellings. We are also BPEC accredited to test mechanical extract fans as well as whole house ventilation systems such as MVHR and dMEV for Part F compliance.

What is air-leakage testing?
Air-permeability testing or air-leakage testing is a non destructive test that is completed at the end of the construction phase. We can arrange to fit in the test around you, give advice on how to prepare, provide advice on how to pass and provide feedback directly after.
Air-tightness of a building is also known as 'air-permeability' and when measured is referred to as the buildings air leakage rate. Air leakage can occur through gaps, holes and cracks in the fabric of the building envelope (service penetrations, wall and roof junctions etc), which are not sealed correctly.
Following the air-leakage test we will provide you with an ATTMA (Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association) test measurement certificate which will be required by Building Control. The SAP assessor will also require a copy of the air test certificate in order to finalise the as-built SAP calculations and lodge the final EPC (Energy Performance Certificate).
